H1 B revalidation.

Gurus plz advise,

Mi H1B expired on 05/02 my I 129 was approved on 01/03, for h1b status valid till 05/03.
I am planning on traveling to India in March, should I get my revalidation done in India, or should I try getting it done in Canada.

My company's attorney suggests that I travel to Canada and get the Visa stamped before I leave for India.

I have an EAD approved but waiting card production, I do not have an AP (was never filed).

I am afraid that if I apply for revalidation in India (Chennai) It may take any length of time and might exceed my H1B approval.

H1B renewal should not take more than a week unless you fall into any security net or some other administrative processing.
Both options are equal on the above caveats. So it all depends on your convenience / comfort level.
If your h1 stamp is refused in canada then you will have to go to home country to get the visa, which might result in 2 trips to India.
