H1 B revalidation Needed or not???????????

Hello guys,
I have a situation so you guys let me know your suggestion what to do in the following scenario that will be helpful.
My visa stamped in my passport expires on Jan 31 2004. I have a valid approved H1B extension till DEC 2006. Right now i'm in india to attend a urgent family matter. I tried to get a appointment to revalidate my visa in cehnnai consulate but i got appointment only in March 2005. But i have to return to US on DEC 23rd so i can't wait till march 2005 in india and revalidate it
Is there will be problem at the port of entry if I enter the US with the visa expires on Jan 31 2005 and having a valid H1b extension till DEC 2006.
Gurus let me know what is the best option in this situation for me enter US with old visa or stay there and revalidate and come to us(eventhough it is not a option ). Please let me know your thoughts

you should not have a problem entering the US on dec23, because as of dec 23, you have a valid visa. Also, you have an approval (797) through dec 2006, thus making it double-safe.
I dont think there is any reason for concern.

I just noticed that in your original post, you mentioned jan 31 2004. Is it 2004 or 2005? If it is 2004, you will have to get visa re-validated.
