H1 B revalidation in Montreal

Hi folks,
My wife (for first time stamping) and I (second time stamping) are planning on visiting Montreal for our respective revalidations. I would like to know if this is a good idea. I have read on some posts that Montreal doesn't give the passport back until the next day. That'd going to be a problem in my case since we will be going there in a Friday. Any sugegstions or ideas is greatly appreciated.

I got my passport back the same day (a Friday as it happens) in Montreal last August. I don't know if their procedure has changed since then.
