Hello all,
I applied for H1-B renewal at chennai consulate on dec 14, 2004 with
all required document. After the interview, I was asked to pay 85$ and
my fingerprints were taken and was told to wait for 30-45 days.
I have stayed in the US for 5 years (on F1 and then H1-B) and have never
been any sort of legal issues. My name is a muslim name and that I think might have caused somesort of alert.
Now, I am basically stuck till this is completed and need to extend my leave till this is done.. my searches for the time duration for this check seem quite inconclusive (anywhere from 2 week to 3 months).
Is any one in similar situation or does anyone know the duration for this check to be completed?
