H1 B rejection

Hi all,
1.) What happens if the H1B work permit is denied? (Not the visa but the permit)?
Does that leave a permenent black mark on the record and cause potential future problems?

2.) Anyone has any idea on why an H1B may be denied? I am trying to get an H1B based on my CPA qualification.

Greatly appretiate any advise/opinions!

Basically H1B petition may be get rejected for two main reasons.
1. Employer fault - letter pad company, prevailing wage discrepency, no projects/contracts etc
2. Employee Fault - no proper qualifications, experience, no recog 4 yrs degree etc

If H1B is rejected based on case 1, change the employer if it is case 2, you have to upgrade yourself to qualify.

In both cases, individual will not dis qualified for future H1.
