hello,

I am a canadian currently in the usa. A company here has offered me a job, and filed my h1-b petition. I am planning to travel back to canada in august for some things that i must take care of.

If my petition is not approved by then will it be possible to re- enter the usa after my trip?

If you are currently applying for H1 with change of status, your change of status might be denied due to the fact that you travel during the pendency of application. YOu can enter back the US with different visa, but you may need to travel to Canada again to get the H1 stamp if COS gets denied.
If your current H1 application is not under change of status, travelling has no effect on your application.
