H1 B issue

I am used to work for a company A and then left my old company and went to work for company B last year. I want to go back to company A again. I still have a valid visa stamp from my company A and it expires in March 2005 and my company A says they did not apply for revoking my H1 B visa. Do I still need to apply for an H1 B visa transfer? I had been to India and came back on company A's stamp and company B's I-797. I did not have to restamp my visa. Also, on my I-94 the immigration officer has written the name of company B. I would appreciate if you could let me know about this issue.

To my best knowledge:
You can hold multiple H1's at the same time. So your status is valid with both the H1's that you are holding from A and B. So if you still have a valid I-797 from company A you can just move to company A at any point. As long as you are able to keep the pay stubs as proof I think you are absolutely fine.
