H1-B Extension

Hi,

My first 3yrs of H1-B is expiring on January 2006. Fortunately I am in Backlog of the Backlog Reduction Center. As I came to know that H1-B extension is taking long time for some case I want to file my extension before its too late. Does any one has any idea about the earliest date to file for an extension. Is it six months before my expiration date? or .....?.

You can file 6 months before expiration date.
