H1-B extension question - urgent

Hi!

I'm entering my 6th year of H1B in 15 days time. Now, if I change employers, it is necessary that my H1-B transfer also be filed/completed before the 365 day period in order to extend it beyond the 6th year, or is it sufficient if only the GC is filed before 365 days in order to extend the H1 beyond 6years?

I'd appreciate your responses.

H1 extension beyond 6 years is based on your LC pending for atleast 365 days, not based on H1 transfer date. However, to be eligible to apply, you should have completed 365 days from LC receipt date on the date of filing H1 extension (new change in CIS's interpretation of AC21).

if LC pending more than 365 days and you have the evidence of LC filing( evidence is reciept from SWA or SESA that lawyer gets after LC filing from SWA or SEA) then you can file for 7th year H1, LC can by filed by ANY employer
OR I-140 pending
OR I-485 Pending
