H1 B Expiring. Has Valid EAD and AP Comp. refuses to H1 ext.

Gurus,

My H1 B expiring by the end of this month.

I have valid EAD and AP. My present company is ready to extend the EAD and AP. But they are not ready extend my H1 B.

My I 485 is pending since May 2005. ( I am stuck in name check)

Touch wood, If something happens with my Present company then what are my options? Will I go into Invalid status?

Please let me know ASAP . I have to get back to my lawyer by tomorrow.

Please provide your answers.

No. You'll have a pending I-485 and will remian in status until it is approved or denied. If you lose your job, then you find a new job and port using AC21. An H-1 wouldn't help if you lose your job, since that'll immediately invalidate the H-1.
