H1 b doubt, regd govt project in India

This is a doubt i have, i will appear for h1 b interview, i am a
software engineer, and have worked on a government project here
at Andhra Pradesh.

one of my family friends was rejected a visitor visa because he used to
work in the military or defence....

now my doubt is, when he asks to explain about my project in India,
and if i explain this Govt project...will there be a problem?

Government projects are a problem for my h1 visa?


i am also planning to get an appreciation letter from their
letter head....any problem with that for my h1 b?
 
Govt projects are not a disqualification for H1 B however, nuclear/defense etc may have -ve mpact on your visa.
