H1-B and EAD

Hi

I am currently in H1-B, valid until 2011. I also have my EAD and valid until 2010.
I recently moved my residence and hence changed states.

My question is :

If I use my EAD as proof of Identity (e.g. to get my Driver's license), does that by any means change my current status? or in other words, does using my EAD as proof of Identity, activate my EAD and make me lose my H1-B status?

I appreciate all your reply and help.

thanks,

----------------- filing Form AR11 will not change address on pending Petitions with USCIS, you should call I-800 and also write to USCIS for address change on pending petitions, provide copy of I-485 filing reciept, Name, DOB A# I-485 reciept# on cover letter and your new address, sign the letter with date.

----------------NO. if you use EAD for work then your H1 gets invalidated.

I appreciate all your reply and help.

thanks,
