H1 and OPT

I am currently on OPT which expires on July 14th (including the 60 day extension). My company has just filed for H1 using the premium process. But, they are concerned about what I can do in the interim period from July 14th to October. I looked into taking a summer class but everywhere I look is so expensive so I was wondering if anyone could help me with some suggestions for a reasonably priced class which issues I-20 or what I could do as an alternative means. My company doesnt want me to go home for those few months so I am very confused and worried about what I should. I would really appreciate it if someone would help me.
 
I have no resource for school, but what i can tell is if your COS was denied as CIS thought you would not have status on Oct 1, you anyway have to travel to get stamp.
