H1 and H4 Visa

Hi Members,

Please can you advise me. I'm in US since 1998 and I'm on H1. I have valid H1 visa in my passport and valid I-94. I changed company recently and I got the H1 approval and working for the new comapny.

My wife is India

1. Can I send her for H4 visa in chennai with out having new
comapny visa stamp in my passport ?.

2. Or do I need to go to Canada for new company stamp and then
send my wife for H4 in chennai ?.

3. It's taking 3 months here in USA for the revalidation now. Is
there any quick process here ?.

------ For H4 stamping it is not necessary that H1B holder should have Visa stamp in passport

-----You have valid I-94 and valid H1 approval notice, Visa stamp is only needed for travel. DOS will take about 3 months for H1b visa stamp, you can visit Canada or Mexico to get H1b visa stamp but remember If H1B stamp refused in Canada or Mexico then you will not be able to enter US you have to go directly to India from Canada or Mexico to get H1b stamp. I am not scaring you lot of people got H1 stamped from Toronto or Ottawa, search the threads
