Hello friends,

I am here on H1b and my husband is on H4 dependent visa. We both have changed our nonimmigrant status from F1 and F2 respectively. We are going to Ottawa, canada on March 12, 2008 to get our passport stamped...I have couple of questions

1. Is there any problem for either me or my husband because he is being a husband, on my dependent status. Usually wives are on Husband's dependent status but here it is opposite. This is atleast true for Indian families. I mean can VO inquire about him as what is he doing in US as a dependent and what are his future plans??? Both me and my husband came together on F1 but after six months he had changed his status to F2 and then to H4.
2. Is it a better idea to go for stamping seperately?? Or is it illegal (immigration fraud) to go seperately??

Thank you very much in advance.

H-4 visas are for spouses of H-1B visa holders. A spouse can belong to either gender, Indian or otherwise. Relax :)
