H1 After Six Years Which Service Center?

Hello Gurus, I need help from you Guys

Here I have some questions regarding the H1 after 6 years, I stared my Green Card process in Dec 99, I completed my labor in TX and filed my I-140 in TSC, then after that my company moved me to Maryland in another project, now my H1 is expiring on Dec 2001, my I-140 is pending in TSC (ND Jan 18 th 2001), now I want to apply for the H1 Extension, I am working in Maryland with same company in different project, all my previous H1 are from TSC

Here are my Questions

Where I need to apply for H1 now (TSC or VSC)?
Do we have to get labor for this H1 (after six years) also where I have to get the Labor (TX or MD)?
Is this going have any impact on my Green Card Process?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Here is my take,

GC could be for a future job, one may be working in different location right now but will move to the job specified in GC after obtaining one. This point makes your current H1B independent (location) of where your GC is being processed. Depending on where your current work location is you need to apply your H1B extension (under that service center). As far as I know yes, you need and LCA to apply for an extension.

As long as your GC processing employer is continuing the process (that, job is still there and you are willing to take that job once GC approved) you can get extension under AC21 after 6 years on H1B.

If your "GC job" location is changed it may become a bit complicated! i.e. you may be asked to ammend your LC/I-140! If your current H1 job and GC job are different then you don\'t have a problem. In any case I THINK you can keep your priority date and you can get 7th year extension based on that.

Rajiv, is very knowledgeable and very helpful. If your GC job changed location then ask him if you have to do any thing at this time.
