H1 7th year transfer question

My friend is in his H 1 7th year due to his pending green card. Labor is approved. Now due to some situations at the client side he needs to switch his h1 to a new approved vendor.

Is is possible to do a h1 transfer in 7th year? What are the consequences to green card ?

your friend can transfer H1 and should start the GC process from 1st sep filing of new LC through new employer becase past employer may not file I-140 for him after LC gets approved. if the past employer is ready to support his GC process then no problems(his pending LC has early PD) starting with new LC filing in 2006 nobody can say how many years it will take to get GC
