H1 7th Year Extension

Hi,
I came to US on H4 visa on june1,1998. I started working on H1 visa from Jan 1999. My current H1 stamping is till august 2004. Is my 6th year completed on june1,2004 or august 2004 or jan 2005? Please help me out here.

H4 time is also counted towards 6 year limit. However the onus is on you to count the 6 yr. BCIS might catch this after 10 years and still can prosecute you.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So as per law my 6th year gets over by june 2003. If that is the case the date on my h1 says august 2003- shall I include that this includes the 2 months that I was out of US. Please clarify.
