H1 6th year

Need help on following situation:-
My H1-B visa expires on Oct 2006 and my employer has not yet started processing GC.
1)What are the chances of me being able to stay beyond Oct 2006 if my employer applies LC now
2)Are there other options like pre-approved labour substitution, converting H-1B to L-1 visa etc ... pls help
3) After completing 6 yrs on H-1B, can I be in US on F-1 visa and study in US during my 7th year?Supposing this is allowed, does the rule say that I should be outside the country for 1 year and then only come here on an H-1B visa.

Any guidance on the above queries will be highly appreciated...

1) You need to recapture 2 months to be able to extend into 7th year, otherwise there is no chance.
2) pre-approved labor is an option if you found the good one.
3) you can change to F1, but next H1 will not be granted unless you are out of the US more than a year. E visa might be an option if you are from the country with E-visa treaty.
