H1 6 yr exp, got EAD

Hello,

I have obtained my EAD after applying simultaneously for I-140 and 485. My 6 yr limit is expiring in Oct'03.
Questions are:
1. Is there any benefit applying for the 7th yr extension on the H1 Visa now that I already have the EAD card?
2. Some people say that it better to be on the Visa than to use the EAD. Is this true? If so, what is the benefit of the Visa Vs EAD in the 7th yr?
3. Can I change employers in the 7th yr on the EAD? On the Visa (if I get the 7th yr extension)?

I would obviously like to not have to apply for the 7th yr extension (I'd have to pay for it) but would gladly do so if there is any benefit over the EAD.

1.&2. If H1 is with same employer as sponsoring employer, risk of RFE or local BCIS office transfer is less.
3. Yes.
