H1 6 year calculation

I was on L1 for 15 months in US (Jan 2002 - Apr 2003), then went back to India for 6 months (Apr 2003 - Oct 2003) and then came to US on H1 (Since Oct 2003) and I have been here for 2 years and 8 months on H1 till date.

My questions are:
1. How will may stay in US be calculated for H1 as 6 years?
a. will it be 4 years and 6 months (Since Jan 2002)
b. will it be 4 yrs minus 6 mnths (time spent in India)
c. will it be just the 2 yrs 8 months spent on H1

2. Does the time spent on L1 count when calculating the H1 time limit of 6 years?

4 years 6 months minus 6 months(you spent abroad) = 4 years. That is the time you have already spent as H1 and L1 combined.
Time spent with L1 is included in H1 6 years.
