Hello Gurus,
I used to think I knew enough about H1s and renewals etc. This scenario has me worried.
My first 3 year H1 expires in Dec 2005. In the meantime the company I worked for the last 3 years now (last month) has been bought out by another company. Their lawyers are filing for H1 renewal and transfer now.
My question, does the first 3 year extension count toward the cap/quota of visa numbers issued? I mean I can still apply for a transfer/renewal right?? My first guess was "OF COURSE", but with the company changing over will that change?
And if it does then AM I SCREWED?? Oh wait i think i can still use the 20K+ MS Quota then ... if it hasnt dried up till now?? any advice/views/opinions greatly appreciated.
