I am on an H1-Bwhich will expire next year. Therefore i wish to immigrate to Canada.
1. First go to cic.gc.ca and download forms, read the instuctions if you qualify for Canada immigaration , you need to score minimum 75 points
2. Once you submit your application it takes 12-18 months now to get PR, if you are leaving US better apply in your home countary
I want to know how long one can stay away from Canada after the PR is issued.
1 Once the PR is issued you should Land in Canada before the expiry date of your Landing paper or PR visa
2. Once you land in Canada you can stay out of Canada for 3 years in any five years to maintain PR
Also my labor certification is in progress here in the US. So will that be affected when I get a PR in Canada.
1. Your LC will not be affected by applying for Canada immigration
If your LC has been pending more than 365 days you can get your H1B extended for 1 year ( new Law) even if you have consumed 6 years on H1B
If you have Job in US dont leave that US job and it willl be very difficult to get IT job in Canada looking at the current job market of Canada, Stick to US if you can
