H-4 revalidation needed??

I was initially employed with company A, for which I had H-1 visa stamped till May 2002.
Since then I have changed to company B with H-1 status (not visa) upto may 2004. My wife also has H-4 status upto may 2004 and H-4 visa valid upto May 2002.
If she goes to India and return before may 2002, does she need to re-stamp the visa in India, or can she come back using the old H-4 visa and the new H-4 status? I myself donot have new H-1 visa stamped as yet on my passport.

If you are entering before you old VISA expires.

If you are entering before you old VISA expires i.e May 2002, you are fine , you can show the new approval notice and get that date i.e (2004) on I-94, It is not necessary for you and your wife to get it stamped as long as you come back by May 2002 i.e before your old VISA expires.
