H-4 processing time

Hi Everybody:
Couple of questions in relation to H-4:
1. Can I file for H-4 status for my spouse in India? If yes what is the processing time?
2. If I file it here in in US, what is the processing time?

All she has to do is to take the required documents to the embassy and get a visa. She requires proof of marriage (marriage certificate from the court) marriage photographs. copies of your valid visa along with your passport copies. original I 797 which is your notice of approval. she will get a visa from the embassy in india itself as you cannot apply for a h4 from here.
