Can anybody help me on this issue? Maybe LucyMo can. I am currently on H1B and I worked for another company for more than 180 days. It was a difficult situation, where the other company is the husband of my sponsor and their offices are located in the same building. I was on payroll for about 8 months and I paid IRS taxes etc.Right now, I am only working for my sponsor. I have applied for labor certification and it is still somewhere at the Philadelphia backlog center.
My concern is how is it going to affect me when I apply for i-140?? Can I do AOS or CP?? I understood I have to be in status at the time of adjustment and I am in status. Has anybody been through similar situations like this??
