H-1B Transfer Receipt - Duration to receive

Hi

My H1b transfer(Not premium processing) was applied for and my papers reached the USCIS on March 26th. I still havent received my receipt number. I was under the impression that you get a receipt number within two weeks.
Does it usually take a long time to even get a receipt number?

Wasn't your employer's or their lawyer's address given on the petition (its their petition anyway). It must have reached that address.

It hasn't reached them yet. They only have confirmation that it has reached the consulate, thats about it.
