H-1B Transfer/ Cancelation issues

Hello everyone. I am currently on H-1B status with company A. I have transferred my H-1B Visa to company B. Now, if I do not join company B, they can cancel my Visa.

If they do, would company A need to reactivate my Visa?

As far as I know, a H1B visa does not get cancelled if not explicitly requested by the sponsor after reporting "absconding".
I have seen many friends of mine doing this transfer to another company but later deciding to continue with the current company. They told me that this is perfectly fine.
