H-1B Transfer and I-94 Card at POE

Hi,

Quick question - I recently received my approved H-1B Transfer and will be travelling back to the U.S. at a land border. In my current passport, I have my old an old departure card, with my previous employers info on the back, and "Multiple Entry" written on the front.

I am unsure what to present at the border. Do I hand my passport with the old documents inside or do I discard those and simply present the new H-1B from the new employer.

Apologies in advance if I am not referring to the documents by their right names.

--------------- Do you mean you still have I-94 attached in your passport? you were supposed to surrender I-94 when departed US.

------------- Do you have Valid H1 Visa stamp in your passport? if you have Valid H1 visa stamp then show the Valid Visa stamp AND Latest H1 approval notice

Thanks ginnu. My understanding is that since I'm traveling between US and Canada for a short period of time, I didn't need to surrender my I-94. Apologies, I should have mentioned that.

if you don't surrender I-94 your departure is not recorded with USCIS. when you return to US at POE show valid Visa stamp AND Latest H1 approval notice so that you get I-94 till your latest H1 approval notice.
