H-1b to H4B: Pl.help!!!

Hi:

I am presently working on H1b status since 2003, which will expire on feb 2006. My husband would be applying for GC next month. After feb, I am planning to go onto H4B temporarily till I find a suitable job. I have some idea that H4B time is counted in H1B status. This means the more delay in finding a suitable job, less time for filing my own GC. My question if I do not apply for my own GC while on a job, is it possible to apply for EAD after my 6th year?

If you did not file your own GC application, you are dependent of your husband's application. You can apply for EAD once your husband's I485(and yours too) are filed even after 6 years with H1/H4.
