H-1B to greencard and spouse working?

My employer is going to sponsor me for an H-1B and shortly after that for a greencard. I have a Ph.D. from a U.S. university so I guess I am EB2? Currently both my wife and me are on OPT after our degrees.

At what point in time can my wife work legally? Can she apply for any kind of work authorization while I am on H1B? At what point in time during the greencard application process would she be able to start working?

-------let the employer file in EB2. Having PHD does not make you automatically eligible for EB2. employer need to file your LC in EB2.

-----------------------if she is qualified and employer is ready then employer can file H1 for her and she can work on H1.
Can she apply for any kind of work authorization while I am on H1B?
---------------No. if no H1 is filed for her then she can be on H4 status and on H4 she cant work.
At what point in time during the greencard application process would she be able to start working?
-------------when she gets EAD after filing I-485. Employer has to file LC and after LC then I-140 then I-485.
