H-1B-Stamping

Hello,
I had one more question regarding H-1B stamping.

Firstly, for a person on a H-1B with a particular employer, does anything change if that employer changes the name of his company?

Would it affect the employee in any way if he is with the same employer even though now that particular firm has a different name? Would the person have to undergo any additional paperwork for his own H-1B visa? What if the person wants to leave the country for a while? Would it affect the stamping of H-1 in any way.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

No change in H1. H1 amendment is filed only if the contract details change or job details change. Not for name change. Just bear a official document or news paper cutting that announced the name change with you.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.

My company has become a corporation. Nothing else has changed though but from sole proprietorship, it has become a corporation.

I have received conflicting advise. Some say, that if the company becomes a corporation, the Tax ID changes and so I have to file for a new petition. And the second group says that there is no need to be worried abt.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hello,
I am receiving conflicting opinions regarding the stamping issue.

My employers' Tax ID has changed along with the name as he has made the company from sole proprietorship to a corporation.

Do I need to file a fresh H-1B for the change that has taken place.

I asked several people. No one seems to have a definitive answer but everyone keeps on saying that its not a big deal.

Please help.

Thanks.
