I applied for H-1 transfer on 7/27/01. However I didn\'t start working for the company after I got the receipt notice because they didn\'t have any project for me. I started in november. Should I expect any question from INS regarding the period from August-November during which I didn\'t work and was merely waiting for my H-1 approval

Not if you were working for your previous employer

If working for your previous employer, there is no problem

I wasn\'t working for my previous employer either.

Is this gonna create a problem? I guess I was in status because my H-1 transfer application was already in INS
