I\'m doing my residency on my F-1 practical training. I want to apply for H1b when my contract is renewed next year. Can anybody advise me about the procedure of getting a H-1b for me. Thank you in advance for any comments.

Step 3

Make sure that you have ECFMG Certificate and passed Step 3 of USMLE. The rest is just paperwork. Attorney can assist you with that.

Step 3 vs state license

Thank you for your response. Do I have to get a state license for applying H-1? I\'ve passed Step 3, but the state where I\'m doing residency requires one year resident time before to apply for a state license. Thanks in advance.

sundar,

I just read that you did your MD in India. Have you seen anybody
working with Indian MD without going through USMLE etc? Pardon my ignorance since I trying to see for my sister\'s. What could be the
options for a short term training (empl. options) what exams/certifi.
etc need to be taken for working under a senior specialist etc?
Thanks.

?Labour Certification needed for all physicians?

Hi:
This question might sound silly and basic. Sorry about that.
I will be working thru my residency on a H-1B. I would like to know if Labour certification is needed for all physicians who want to apply for a green Card? Sencondly I would be grateful if you let me know what the approx processing time is for LC in the state of pennsylvania?

Many Thanks

Physicians can also obtain GC through EB-1 and EB-2(NIW) categories that do not require Labor Certification. Processing times can be found on DOL web site.
