Hi everyone,
Both my wife and I are under H-1B status. She decided to quit her job to take care of our children at home. So I submitted her I-539 (Change status from H-1B to H4) along with my H-1B extention petition through USCIS premium processing service. Both applications were approved by USCIS, but my wife's I-797 form said her H-4 status was valid from 10/01/2007, the same as mine. My question is whether my wife has to work until September (her H-1b status is valid until 2008), or she can quit and stay home with our new born baby now.
Thanks for any feedback in advance!
