H-1 Visa stamping question

Hi

My 6 year H-1 expires in Oct 2004.

When I had applied for visa stamp in June 2002, the consulate had given me 5 year H-1 visa till June 2007.

Based on pending labor, I applied for 7th year H-1 extension & the approval came earlier this week.

Everything above with the same employer,

Now, my question is If I travel outside the USA in December 2004, will I need a new visa or the above visa along with H-1 extension work?

---- you will need the newVISA stamp based on your New H 1 approval, what you got is only approval notice and you can remain in US and can work till I-94 expirt date but if you go out you need new H1 visa stamp in your passport from US consulate in your home countary.
