H-1 Transfer predicament

I am currently working in A and have an offer from B.
B has started the visa transfer process.
But the problem A is not doing too good...they might lay me off.
What happens to me if A lays me off before I get a receipt from B.[which is going to be the case from my look at things ]

Any suggestions/comments are appreciated

If B has already sent in the petition and you are still working with A no probs, you need to give the last three months pay stub and you should be cool with that in this case.

Don;t get tensed up.

Update to my situation, I have been laid off...bad
I have filed for transfer 7 working days back.

But my start date is still a couple of weeks off.
what are my options.

any help is really appreciated
