Hi everyone,
I am currently on H-1 visa. I don't have any plans of leaving the country in the next couple of years. Do i need to get my passport stamped at a US consulate?
kindly advise.
thanks

If you are not leaving the USA then you do not need to get a passport stamp, the I-797 you have has an I-94 in it at the bottom and that is your I-94. If you go outside the country, then you will have to get your H-1 stamped in order to get back in, unless you have filed I-485 and have advance parole if you are Adjusting Status.
