H-1 Renewal got denied !! Please Help

Hello

I came on H-1 in June this year and have been working since then.My H-1 expiry date was Sep-30 .My employer filed for extension on Sep-27 and i got a query to relating to employer-employee relationship.My emloyer answered that query and today i noticed that my H-1 got denied.

My wife came here on H-4 visa with me and then she got her visa converted to F-1.

Now that my visa got denied , should i leave the country immediately or is there way i can apply for new H-1 .If i can not apply for H-1 , can i apply for dependent Visa on my wife.

I spoke to my employer and they said they will contact attorney , i'm not sure if they give me any reliable information now

Can you someone please please help me

Since H class and F class are both non-immigrant visa types, you shouldn't have any issues applying for F2 dependant application withing USofA, considering your wife is on a F1 Visa.

Thanks a lot for your reply Chetan !! One last question i have .. do i have to approach an attorney for change in status or can i do it by myself ..IF so you could you direct me to a place where i can find the process to check the documentation . I would want to do it as soon as possible

You can do it yourself, please look up the instruction on filing form I-539, that's what you will need to file to change to F2.
