H-1 Processing form EAD

I am an office engineer in the field of construction and i have a couple of questions with regards to my H-1 processing.

Is it required for the company thats processing the h-1 visa to post an advertisement for the same position in a public newspaper during the period of the H-1 application?

Also is it necessary for my salary to be raised upto some standard figure set by an agency?

I dont think advt is necessary. it is necessary for Green card though.
yes, a prevailing wages study has to be conducted by the recruiting company which is generally based on the type of job and metro area where the job is expected...
