H-1 petition while I-730 pending

Hi,
My son's I-730 is out of processing time almost over by year. He is maintaining F-1 status currently. He has been offered job by a company. However, currently he is on reduced credit in the school due to med reasons. I mean not having full credits for this semester only.
My quesrion is will his H-1 petition will be processed without any problem for the reason that he is on reduced academic credit not on full?
I will appreciate for any comments based on experience or knowldge ofthe H-1eligibility.
