Hello:

My company filed for chapter 11 and currently is being bought out by another investment company. Do I need an H-1 transfer?

Considering the fact that nothing changes at my level (work, pay, benefits etc), is there a way out of the H-1 transfer?

If the new company takes all the responsibility for taking over your original LCA, you do not need to transfer nor amend your H1B.
It was written in INS memo issued in Jun 2001 regarding AC21.
