Hi,
I am on OPT on F-1 status in US and plan to come to India in April for 3-4 days for personal reason.
Coincidently, My H-1 becomes effective on April 25 Tuesday.
And I can take an appointment only on April 24th Monday New Delhi consulate because of my tight schedule.
Now my question is:
Can I get H-1 stamping done and collect p/p on the same day on April 24.
Now since I plan to leave India the same night, it is important that I get p/p the same day.
What are my chances for that, embassy is New Delhi.
If I were on OPT, no problem, but here there is a transition happening while I am coming back to US.
If that's not possible, I won't be able to come to India, either I come or I don't, only day I can appear for visa interview is April 24th.
