Nothing, just show up for work! You should of course have a new H1 or EAD.

My EAD expires in September, do I have to ask the client to send the EAD renewal

Why you should ask the client to renew EAD?,EAD belongs to you. you can do it your self, fill up the form , pay the fees, attach photographs and copy of pending I-485, mail it 4 months advance

make sure u get the following before leaving ur sponsor's firm:

1. Job Description and Assigned job code from LCA. Also, title and salary. Would be helpful while filing AC-21 in proving "similar" job criteria..

2. Copy of 140 approval

Hi,

I too joined the client after 1 year using EAD. Got RFE and replied 3 weeks before and waiting for approval. My attorney says the best case approval or otherwise a transfer to local INS.

Client gave the emp. letter stating that job is identical, as I was working them as contractor before also. Title also same.

Ask cleint to give letter stating that same job or identical job. Inform INS if your lawyer says so or wait until RFE.

Yup! Get yours and then check on the online directory for the job description corresponding to it.. Then, if ur new employer gives u the same job description as the sponsoring employer did in LCA - great! Else, u can keep the new job description as close to the original as possible, keeping the DOT code's job description in context.. This may specially be required for the ones leaving consulting (management consulting specially) and joining clients...
