Guys,
We should start sending emails / letters to senators again. Atleast we know that we tried our best. Please post the name and email address of senators (California and senators handling INS issues). any suggestions?

I agree, but I think in addition we should flood AILA with letters as that seemed to produce some action last time.

Also Sen Kennedy seems to get action going as well.

If we all orchestrate and send volumes of letters/emails....they make estimates on the severity of the problem (how many people are affected) by how much correspondence they receive, i.e. for every 1 letter they get there must be X amount, say 10,000 they don't hear from.

Make the letter professional and appeal to their sense of action. Don't be name calling/spiteful/bad language etc, and appeal to how unjust, unaccountable this organization is.

Anyone have a sample letter they want to contribute? Where is the last one we can build on?

I agree with gettingCloserNow. I would like to suggest the following:

1. First, lets get organized. We should have a good number of people signed up before we send mails to these senators.
2. Identify the senator or AILA emails.
3. Prepare different format of letters.
4. Send the emails.

Your thoughts?

Exactly,

As grassisgreen suggests, let's be organized about this. We need to remove the emotion but have a plan of attack and have people that are committed to doing this.

Also the point of having different formats of the letter is a great idea.
