Did you check the LUDs?

there may not always be a message saying docs received

Call the service center they usually respond very well, speak calmly and clearely explain your situation and if necessary they may ask you to send a copy of the docs again with an attached explaination in the cover letter.

Sumeet Babu,
Are you talking about 1-800-375-5283. When I checked for my case they read what I already read online and said to wait until I hear back anything from the Texas center itself.

the regular USCIS line. it make take more than one attempt to get some one sensible, but it is worth it. This is where I would start.

That is the worthless National Customer Service Center (NCSC), staffed by contractors (not CIS employees) and as you experienced are pretty useless. Use POJ technique to get to TSC. If you're lucky you'll get a nice immigration officer who can help.
This is the so-called POJ technique (named after the forum member who "discovered" it) It goes as follows:
Dial the 800 number and choose:
1 for English
2 to bypass the intro
2 to check status of a pending application
6 to confirm you are trying to check status
1 to confirm that you know your receipt number
1 to confirm that it starts with SRC
then enter your receipt number
1 to confirm you entered correct SRC number
3 to continue to next step
4 for something about cases separated or some other crap... this is what gets you somebody at TSC. They'll say: "Texas Service Center, what's the receipt number" and you're in, baby!

If you stray at all from the steps you'll get the worthless NCSC, try this and let us know.

NIW Engineer,

Oh Man, your technique rocks...You look like more experienced then the lawyers. I saw your mail and was immediately on the phone, and here you go..directly to Texas. My supporting docs were received but not updated.
Thanks for sharing this info and your time on this forum . Please stick to this website and help us time and on...though I know you received your GC but if this world has a little more of people like you and some others in this forum, I guess we INDIANS will be at the top!..:)

Thanks much again,
Wishing you all success for future,

Hello NIW_Engineer,
Thanks for your valuable info. Could you do one more fever with providing 1-800 full number..?
Thanks in advance

It is the same I-800-375-5283 number which everyone uses for POJ technique.

Nothing new, same age old Prince of Jungle tecnhique which works most of the time, except when there is some technical problme with USCIS phone system.

Dial that number and follow instructions given by POJ (Prince of Jungle) and get connected to TSC Imm Officer I believe.

Hey man, no problem, but I'm from Venezuela (I guess some racist people in Spain would call me INDIAN, so yeah! we should be on top!!!!). And mogambo1 is 100% right, I can't claim credit for that. The first one who posted about it was POJ, hence the name.

Thanks man

guys I just called TSC (POJ-live long and prosper) and asked about my case about the petition problem if you all remember I self petitioned but in the recipte the petitioner was listed as the University, they are apparently working on it.

I called again and asked about my supporting docs and the same person answered and recognised me. It was a lady, well they received it on the 12th and took my phone number and said they will call and let me know when they are done with the petitioner issue. Do they really call... I mean on the phone.. like voice???

NIW engineer,

I still give credit to you for sharing this info here...since honestly I didn't knew about it..and I am sure Mogambo is as knowledgable as you...

Best,
KKU

You will be only lucky man on this earth if you happen to get a call from USCIS. As far I know, the best anyone ahs ever claimed to happen to have gone close to USCIS was a fax notice. Thats all.

All the best with your Alien Encounter with USCIS (UFO).

Just kidding. Dont take it to heart.

I would be skeptical too. She must've said that for a reason, though. Although if you do get a call, come to the forum immediately and post about it, just for our curiosity's sake.

I second mogambo's feeling... you're the luckiest individual in the planet (if they call you). When you write back to tell us about the call, please also post a random sequence of 6 two-digit numbers... I'd like to play some powerball!
