guys help!!! my h1 expires on feb 02.

what is the earliest one can apply for the extension of h1. my company says 2 months before the expiration (dec end), but i dont believe them.

You can work 240 days after it expires while your application is pending. So, no need to worry about it too much

Althoug I\'ve seen INS do extensions before this.

3 to 4 months

You can apply for an extension as early as 4 months befor your visa expires. My Visa expires on 31 Jan 2001 and my company applied for an extension for me on 26 Sept. It takes anywhere between 30 - 75 days to get an approval. But if your application is pending when your visa expires you still have some grace period.
