Greetings sweetest sisters and brothers,
I have really been enjoying life lately thanks to the liberties the sweet green plastic accords us former "aliens" turned "new immigrants". The sweetest day for me was not receiving my actual card in the mail but the "Welcome to America" booklet. Ah bliss! I slept with it under my pillow for three weeks, fondling it occasionally with a cheeky slip of the hand underneath the pillow to see if she was still there. Now here are my problems;
Question 1) I flew to beautiful Patagonia in Chile and then to Easter Island where I had the time of my life sightseeing. On the way back at the airport I left the scruffy third worlders sweating and rotting in the third world lines and joined the USC and PR sweetest line that moves fast! i thought everything would be a breeze but when the officer scanned my sweet green plastic and took my fingerprints and photo he put a very disappointing "I" encircled in a big blue circle on my customs form and told me to 'wait right there' in the main corridor after customs. Very embarrassing, even the third worlders were laughing at me. Another officer then bundled my documents and led me to "secondary inspection" where I met tens of sad looking faces huddled in seats waiting to be inspected. The only relief was I only sat there for one minute before the nice short Chinese officer mispronounced my name and told me "all was clear you can go now" - no inspection no nothing ..what was that all about????
Question 2) I will soon be filing the 1-751 in about 22 months time. Will they require any of the other rubbish they put us through - affidavit of support with supporting documents, medical tests, etcee or was that a one time thing?
Thank you in advance for your responses sweetest people. Lets continue to enjoy our heaven USA land of milk and honey! Good luck to all those still going through the struggle keep hope alive!
