This is regarding for my friend vijay.
Vijay's employer is willing to apply 140/485 by using substitute LC for him. But company's attorney (f***er) lost/misplaced original
approved LC (no photo copies). How to get a duplicate LC? How to change the attorney? LC was approved from Atlanta, GA an year back.

Please through your suggestions/advices.

The employer should request in writing that the INS ask the DOL to provide a copy of a permanent labor certification if it has been lost. It is the DOL and INS policy not to provide copies to private individuals.

Hi Pentiumzero,

Ask your friend to hire any lawyer of his choice - get a written request from his employer, duly signed) to DOL for obtaining LC's copy (lawyer should help him in getting it - formats are standard and it helps to use those format for request.) Fill 750 B and give lawyer copy of all documents. Rest will be lawyer's job.

In one of the thread as posted by a senior member - I read that it takes lots of time to obtain copy of LC from DOL. Besides this is a case of substitution-so suggest your friend to get advice from Expert Lawyer about his profile's suitability for LC substitution-otherwise he may land up loosing time only.
