Hello Gurus. ** * H4 VISA RELATED ISSUE ****

I have applied for my I-485, I-765, I-140 in the month of May'03.
I got my i765 couple of days back.

I have a valid visa till Mid'2005.

I am planning to get maary and bring my wife from India?
Is it possible for me to bring my wife on h4,( since i have a valid visa)?
If not what is the way to bring her?

Please advice me.
 
You can always bring her on H4 even though you have applied for
GC as long as GC is not approved and you have valid H1.

Once you bring her here, you can also add her to your GC.

One of my friend says, as soon as i get my EAD, My h1 visa will get cancelled automatically.
Is it true?
I have a visa till mid'05.

Not true

I am afraid your friend is wrong. Getting an EAD alone does not cancel your H1. Only if you USE your EAD to work does the H1 status get cancelled.
